Conducts interactive interviews and individualized planningwith participants to assist them in preparation for training, education, and employment leading to self-sufficiency and career growth.
Prepares forms, reports, and computer entries relative to services provided.
Duties/Responsibilities Performs related duties as required.

Responsible for determining Workforce Development plans in workforce programs under the oversight of the Department of Labor, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the USDA Food and Nutrition Service, including but not limited to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA), Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP), Ohio Works First (OWF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T), Re-Employment Services and Eligibility Assessment (RESEA), and various federal and state grants that fall under the Workforce umbrella of services and activities.
Activities include intake, assessment, and reassessment of participants, interactive interviews (in person, by phone, virtual), and referral of participants to career assessment testing, education and training, employment opportunities, and supportive services.
Conducts follow-up as to the progress made.
Tracks participation for program compliance.
Determines work or training requirements of participants and evaluates exclusions or exemptions as needed.
Documents case activities and worker actions.
Completes all necessary paperwork to establish participant eligibility and participation.
Completes and maintains all records and files.
Communicates regularly with customers.
Makes referrals to supportive services as needed plus follow-up to address barriers to self-sufficiency.
Addresses participants' day-to-day changes, emergencies, and questions.
Prepares reports, keeps records, and writes correspondence.
Administers and interprets test scores.
Interviews participants and provides job coaching and support.
Answers routine questions and maintains good public relations with educational/training sites, work sites, and other sites including employers involved in the OhioMeansJobs Center.
Serves universal customers that contact or visit the OhioMeansJobs Center and assists individuals with access to services needed for employment success.
Attends staff meetings, trainings, conferences, and workshops in regard to keep abreast of program changes, trends, and best practices.
Attends meetings and job fairs to explain workforce programs to the public and maintains linkages with appropriate agencies.
Performs other job related duties as assigned by the Supervisor, and/or Administrator.
Minimum Qualifications Must have an associate degree or equivalent of at least two year college course work in field of Human Services, Human Development, Social Work, Social Studies, Psychology, Interviewing, or other related field, or equivalent experience or combination of education and experience.
Prefer Valid Ohio Driver's License.
Supplemental Information Working Conditions:
Environmentally controlled work setting.
Involves physical effort at the level normally found in office work.
Work is largely sedentary, occasional lifting and/or carrying small objects, occasional walking or standing.
Could require travel.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
