8am-8pm; 8am-12pm; 4pm-8pm PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
this position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.
This position is also responsible for providing quality care for the dogs and puppies housed at the main kennel, and to ensure the dogs are kept in a clean and healthy living environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Take to dogs outside to the potty/ play areas at a steady pace.
We try to ensure the dogs go outside multiple times a day.
Clean the dog kennels after they have been taken out.
(this can involve cleaning with chemicals) deep clean the kennels to prepare for a new dog to enter that space.
provide the dogs food and clean water as needed.
as well as preparing for the next feeding by filling food bowls.
Socializing the dogs offsite to expose them to different experiences as a step in their training.
communicating to management if something may be of concern with a dog.
REQUIRED ABILITIES:
Ability to perform several tasks concurrently, time management and good organizational and communication skills.
Ability to lift 65 lbs.
Ability to work, standing or walking on cement for extended periods of time.
Ability to restrain active dogs weighing up to 110 lb.
Ability to work different day and weekend shifts.
