Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative Emerge Recovery & Trade Initiative Xenia, OH Xenia, OH Full-time Full-time $20 - $25 an hour $20 - $25 an hour 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Resource Navigator Position Summary The Resource Navigator is responsible for serving clients with substance use disorders in job skill development, career and skills assessments, resume and interview preparation and connecting clients with community resources and potential employers.

Principal Responsibilities Attend training provided by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) and to use OhioMeansJobs.
com and the Work Opportunity Tax Credit incentive for employers to hire individuals with barriers to employment.
Plan, organize, advertise, and conduct workshops/training seminars for Emerge residents and outpatient clients related to career exploration, skill development, and job search using OhioMeansJobs.
com, other online resources, and subject matter experts.
Be acquainted with community resources available to provide services needed by Emerge residents and outpatient clients.
Train clients on resume preparation and interviewing, virtual skill training and job searches using OhioMeansJobs.
com.
Conduct mock interviews and other activities preparing the clients for suitable employment.
Assist clients in career exploration, assessments, interest profiles, job search.
Make appropriate referrals to community resources based on client needs.
Make referrals to OhioMeansJobs Greene County for services provided through grant funds, the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Wagner-Peyser employment services, and other funding sources in coordination with OhioMeansJobs Greene County.
Make direct contact with business and industry employers to explain the benefits of hiring individuals in recovery and solicit their participation and support in job development for specific individuals served by Emerge.
Utilize computer to enter, retrieve & maintain data for program areas.
Track use of the Resource Center services and resources as required by ODJFS.
Establish and maintain clear boundaries with clients.
Adhere to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures, including compliance with all behavioral, ethical, and client boundary expectations.
Maintain client records according to the organization's policies and procedures.
Maintain the organization, OhioMeansJobs, Ohio MHAS, and CARF required training.
Maintain license or registration appropriate to profession and appropriate to job requirement, including appropriate amount of continuing education at all times of employment.
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Working Conditions Knowledge of:
Area resources that may aid clients in on-gong recovery.
Safety rules and procedures, the organization's policies and procedures, and de-escalation techniques for individuals who may be frustrated or exalted.
Working knowledge of different pathways to recovery and social systems.
Abilities:
Multitask, work independently with minimal supervision, and self-schedule.
Communicate information clearly, read, write, speak, and understand.
Recognize unusual or threatening conditions related to persons with disabilities.
Lift up to 25 pounds, standing, bending, stooping, sitting, walking, reaching above and below shoulder, repetitive use of hands to operate office equipment.
Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions:
Regular travel within Greene County and surrounding counties.
May be exposed to clients who are potentially angry or violent.
General exposure to standard office equipment (computers, monitors, copiers, etc.
).
Qualifications and Education Requirements Demonstrated competencies working with substance abuse and chemically dependent populations.
Confidence in training individuals and groups.
Outgoing professional demeanor to relate to business owners and HR representatives.
Experience in working with Microsoft Office products, including email.
Experience with using and navigating Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other industry related types of applications.
CPR/First Aid Certification Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, acceptable automobile insurance coverage, and driving record.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Certified Chemical Dependency Counseling Assistant (CDCA) Minimum one (1) year of experience working with chemically dependent clients in various settings, preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
