For Sale: 1968 Ford Galaxie 500 in Xenia, Ohio for sale in Xenia, OH

1 of 28
Vehicle Description I hate to sell her, but I have owned her for 3 years now and only put approx.
300 miles on her in that time! I am also having health issues (heart attack / diabetic / PTSD), which prevents me from enjoying her the way that I would like to.
I know she will sell fast, due to her being in wonderful condition and being listed at a fair low price.
I have seen similar 1968 Galaxie 500's on sites asking between $35,000 and $45,000, in the same condition as my car.
I want to let you know that I have sold vehicles by myself over my 68 years, and so I don't need help selling her, low ball offers, or anyone who will back out at the last minute.
I purchased her for $22,000 without the below listed work I had done in professional shops.
I have over $3,000 more invested in the added work I had done to her.
I don't have to sell her (have clear title in hand) however I will part with her for the right price.
As I said she will sell fast, so get her for the reasonable asking price, or make me a fair offer and see where it might lead.
Just remember that the very worst that can happen is I say no! She is a 1968 For Galaxie 500 fastback with approx.
4,500 miles showing (I am sure it is more like 145,000 since the odometer was not working when I got her), she looks like 4,500, with what looks like and runs like, a new 302 V-8 (more likely rebuilt).
She has P/S, P/B, 3 speed C-4 automatic, and ice cold A/C.
The car runs so smooth without any hiccups anywhere.
She sits on 15 B.

Goodrich raised letter radial T.

tires, which is mounted on Ford G,T, wheels, with a nice looking stance! Listed below is work I done to her:
1- Trans checked and new seals put in.
2-New dual exhaust with Flowmaster 40 mufflers (not too loud--sounds great).
3-New headlights with high beams yellow bulbs (not a cover), and low beam blue dot.
4-Had the complete front end gone over and had anything that might need replacing, replaced with all new parts.
5-All new brakes all around (including calipers on front disc brakes) rear are drum.
6-New shocks 7-Had new PMT fabrication front and rear bigger dia.
than stock sway bars, and PMT rear lower control arms put on.
(No more sloppy lean in corners!) 8- Upgraded the A/C to R134 (Blows ice cold).
Now for the only bad that I know of (Any 55- year- old car will always have something)--very small leak from either the P/S pump or line (should be easy fix---never bothered me enough to get it fixed).
The gas gauge only goes to 1/2 when full (once again easy fix which I just filled up when it went down to 1/4).
The radio does not work, and the driver's side front fender beltline trim is damaged from removing the car cover (covered and in garage at all times), and the cover goes with the car.
I am still looking for a new trim piece to have put on or let it go with the car.
That is all that I could find wrong with the car, and I know this listing is lengthy, but I want to be honest about anything concerning this car! (Have original keys also) If you have ANY questions, or would like to make a reasonable offer, contact me thru my e-mail------( email protected ).
Thank you for looking at this wonderful car---Gary.
